Post Screening

Today Jose Pena (recent graduate from UT pre-med) and I went to perform the post screening at the Seven Day Adventist Church. We were able to screen approximately 40 participants but unfortunately we ran out of testing strips and weren't able to screen our last two attendees. Afterwards, Jose and I discussed the importance these screening provides to the community and ways that our organizations can can work together to make this happen and continue to offer these services. Unfortunately our screenings revealed that over 70 percent of the participants were pre-diabetic and this is a young congregation.
