The Austin & Central Texas Hispanic Nurses Association understand that in order to meet the challenges of the shortage of Spanish speaking professionals in the health care field, we must be committed to the recruitment and retention of Hispanics into the nursing profession. In spite of the large Hispanic population in Texas, only seven percent of the registered nurses are Hispanic. Our organization, in partnership with our sponsors are very dedicated to this effort and are providing financial support to our Nursing Scholarship Foundation.
